Goal: safely verify or settle a caller-provided signed x402 payment. Success means: return the existing facilitator result with its authorization checks retained. Stop when: return verification, confirmed settlement, refusal, or an explicitly unknown outcome. Keep private keys with the payer. Check authorization nonce and receipt before retrying an unknown settlement. AgentPay x402 facilitator MCP adapter. Two tools wrap the live localhost facilitator: x402_facilitator_verify (read-only, free) and x402_facilitator_settle (irreversible on-chain settlement through Coinbase CDP). Settlement remains scoped to resources paying the AgentPay treasury. This adapter does not reimplement verification, does not bypass spend-authority gates, and does not invent a public gas relay. HTTP REST remains at https://x402-agent-pay.com/facilitator/verify and https://x402-agent-pay.com/facilitator/settle. Discovery JSON at https://x402-agent-pay.com/.well-known/mcp.json is an AgentPay convention, not a live MCP session.
