WhiteMagic gives you durable local project memory (on-device store). Session rhythm: 1. wm(route="session.continuity") before starting work — recall where the last session left off. 2. wm(route="session.start", args={"title": "..."}) when you begin a session. 3. Record selectively via wm(route="session.record") — turn_type decision/breakthrough/error/summary, importance 0.0-1.0 — only what a future session needs. 4. Finish with a short summary turn, then wm(route="session.checkpoint"). Prefer the nine lifecycle tools emitted in tools/list; wm(route="...") reaches the wider curated catalog and wm(route="tools.list") enumerates the surface. Onboarding: `wm grimoire`; pull existing notes in with `wm ingest --source <folder>`. Memory is not encrypted — Back up the store directory; never record sensitive values. Mode: READ-ONLY — writes (session.*, memory.create/update) are refused by governance; recall only, do not retry writes. Scope: store /srv/whitemagic/hosted-store/lmdb. Coordination (multi-agent checkouts): one writer per checkout — Claim a scope before shared-tree edits, release it when done, and hand off via wm(route="session.checkpoint") structured fields (commit, next_queue, open_flags; lease_id names a held scope). Failure ladder: a call failing twice means change something — never retry unchanged. If tools vanish or every call errors, run `wm doctor`, restart the client session; do not probe with shell no-ops.
Known tools 9
wmWhiteMagic meta-tool — memory and continuity kernel over the curated tool surface (69 tools): persistent memory, session continuity and recall, governance/audit, and local tool execution.
Inferred read-onlymemory.createStore a new memory in the holographic memory core with 5D spatial coordinates and galaxy routing.
Potential side effectsmemory.searchSearch and recall memories across galaxies using hybrid semantic, BM25, and associative retrieval.
Inferred read-onlymemory.listList memories with filters (galaxy, tags, limit, offset) for inventory and discovery.
Inferred read-onlymemory.hybrid_recallFused recall across full-text, vector, graph, and coordinate lookup with recall_mode disclosure.
Inferred read-onlysession.recordRecord a session turn (decision, breakthrough, summary) so the next session can resume.
Inferred read-onlysession.continuityRecall where the previous session left off: recent turns, checkpoints, and open work.
Inferred read-onlysession.startStart or resume an agent session for persistent continuity across tool invocations.
