TomeScout helps self-published (KDP) authors prepare and price an Amazon book listing. Every tool calculates from the arguments it receives, KDP's published guidelines and KDP's price tables. Nothing is fetched from Amazon or any other website, so live rankings, prices and search suggestions are not available here; those figures come from the user. KDP's metadata guidelines exclude other authors' names, book titles, trademarks (e.g. Harry Potter, Disney, For Dummies), Amazon programme names (Kindle Unlimited, KDP Select, Prime), price claims ("free") and sales claims ("bestseller", "#1") from titles, subtitles and keyword boxes. keyword_boxes and check_listing flag likely author and title names; famous titles made of ordinary words (e.g. "the love hypothesis") are not detected automatically. How the tools fit together: candidate phrases → keyword_boxes (with the book's title and subtitle) → check_listing on the full metadata. royalty_calculator answers pricing questions; bsr_to_sales sizes a competitor or niche from a Best Sellers Rank. Sales and royalty figures are estimates from public models and KDP's published pricing pages, returned as ranges with their caveats.
