PaperTax turns Hyperliquid perps, spot, HLP and other vaults, HYPE staking, rewards and transfers, HIP-3 builder markets (trade.xyz, Paragon and others) and Papertrade (HyperEVM) into tax records. Start with get_tax_summary for a wallet; use get_ledger_events for detail and export_tax_file for Koinly or Crypto Tax Calculator CSVs or the audit pack. If a report is locked, buy_report can buy it (listed when you connect with an API key or to https://papertax.xyz/mcp?tools=all): with the saved card on the account (needs an API key and the owner opting in) or in USDC on HyperEVM (quote, send, then claim with the tx hash); pass the returned unlock_token to the other tools. Agents with an x402 wallet can also pay in USDC on Base or Solana in one request: GET https://papertax.xyz/api/buy?address=0x...&year=AU-2026 (or the export URL itself) answers 402 with x402 payment requirements and returns the unlock token once paid. Pick a tax_year such as AU-2026 (Australian FY 2025-26, 1 Jul 2025 - 30 Jun 2026) or US-2025. Summaries are free. Full ledgers and exports of live wallets need a PaperTax API key (Trader or Accountant plan, sent as Authorization: Bearer ptx_...) or a paid report; otherwise tools return a preview and an unlock link. sample=true is always free.
