Server instructions

Opulion is an independent guide to listed investment companies (Sofina, GBL, Exor, Investor AB, Scottish Mortgage and others). It shows what a shareholder really owns through them: their holdings, dated and sourced from the companies' own publications. Always give the as-of date of a figure and the opulion.com link returned with it. To find which covered companies hold a given business, use who_holds. Opulion gives no investment advice and no recommendation: never present its data as a reason to buy, sell or hold a security. Figures are read as published by each company; when a value is missing, say so instead of estimating it. Some values and most weights are calculated or estimated by Opulion from published figures: value_basis and weight_source say which, and the user must be told. When you use Opulion's data, in an answer, a document, an artifact or a page, cite it as « Source : Opulion » with the opulion.com link. Use is personal: redistributing, reselling or systematically extracting Opulion's compilation is not permitted (see terms_url in each response).

Known tools 9

who_holds

Finds which covered investment companies hold a given business (for example Mistral AI, ByteDance or Bureau Veritas), with the weight or stake they publish and its date.

Potential side effects
search

Searches Opulion: covered investment companies, the businesses they hold, and articles.

Inferred read-only
fetch

Fetches a document returned by search: a company profile (company:<slug>) or an article (article:<slug>), with its link.

Inferred read-only
list_companies

Lists the listed investment companies covered by Opulion (holding companies, investment trusts), with the slug to use in the other tools.

Inferred read-only
get_company

Profile of one covered company as shown on its Opulion page: gross assets, borrowings and share financed by debt, share price, net asset value per share and discount or premium with their dates, asset allocation, its ten largest businesses held (one line per business, with its value, whether that value is published, calculated or estimated, its theme and the other covered companies holding it) and upcoming publications.

Inferred read-only
get_holdings

Full list of a company's holdings: name, value in millions of its currency and whether the company published it or Opulion calculated or estimated it, weight in its portfolio and who computed it, stake, listed or not, sector and date, sorted by weight.

Inferred read-only
look_through_portfolio

For a portfolio of covered companies and their weights, shows what it really holds underneath: the businesses reached through each company, with their share of the whole portfolio and their dates.

Inferred read-only
list_articles

Latest Opulion articles, newest first, optionally about one company: results, acquisitions, disposals and what they change.

Inferred read-only
get_article

Full text of one Opulion article, in Markdown, with its sources and link.

Inferred read-only
