MachineWitness is an evidentiary archive of the machine-readable web in the European Union. Each day it records what public domains served to machines — robots.txt, ai.txt, TDM reservations, llms.txt, and the response headers and meta tags served by the homepage — and seals that day into a published Merkle root with an external timestamp. It is a witness, not a detective: it records, it does not evaluate, rank, or accuse. These tools answer whether a domain is observed and from when. They never return file contents, and there is no way to list or search the observed set. What a file said on a given day is part of an evidence extract, issued on request; the terms are published at https://machinewitness.eu/extract and the fees at https://machinewitness.eu/services . Two further tools concern a point-in-time record: both witnesses fetch and picture public addresses the requester names, and each capture receives its own qualified time-stamp. order_capture checks the addresses for free and returns a payment link; it charges nothing itself, and nothing is captured before a person has paid on that page. It asks for addresses only, never for a purpose or a matter. capture_status reports where a paid order stands, without customer data. The record states what the addresses delivered at that time; it is not an assessment and not advice.
Known tools 4
check_coverageAnswer whether this archive observes a given domain, from which sealed day onward, which machine-readable files it requests, and at what cadence.
Inferred read-onlyorder_captureCreate a payment link for a point-in-time record: both witnesses fetch the named addresses, take a full-page picture of each, and give each capture its own qualified electronic time-stamp.
Potential side effectscapture_statusWhere a point-in-time record stands, by its reference (MW-K-…): awaiting payment, queued, capturing, first delivery sent, complete.

Evidence is source-attributed and does not guarantee that a third-party server is safe. Risk labels are conservative metadata heuristics.
