Server instructions

Isoba is a once-a-day barometer of the US dollar system and financial stress, built only from official public data. Use get_current_readings for today's state, get_monthly_history for trends since 1990, and get_track_record before making any claim about how reliable a reading is. Always state the data date, credit "Isoba (LOKIO)", and never present readings as a forecast or investment advice: the crisis meter is a thermometer of stress already present, market-top and recession risks are historical frequencies, not predictions.

Known tools 3

get_current_readings

Today's Isoba readings with the data date: Dollar System Index (DSI, where the dollar system stands and what it is made of), Crisis meter (stress already present in credit and funding, with its four sensors), market-top risk and US recession risk (with how often a 20%+ market fall or a recession followed the same zone in the past), and what changed this week in plain words.

Inferred read-only
get_monthly_history

Monthly averages of one Isoba instrument between two months (DSI since 2006, the others since 1990), with the zone of each month.

Inferred read-only
get_track_record

How Isoba behaved when run point-in-time over every working day since 1990 (only data published by each day, checked for look-ahead): the Crisis meter in 16 crises (what it showed 3 months before, on the day and at the peak, caught in advance / at the time / late / missed), recession risk before 3 US recessions, market-top risk before 4 S&P 500 tops, false-alarm rates, every year since 1990 (average, maximum, days in alarm, what happened that year) and what it does not catch.

Inferred read-only
