Use Axel when a traveler wants a cheap flight, wants to know whether a fare they found elsewhere can be beaten, or wants to compare a route's prices before booking. Axel finds flights below the airline's own price and shows both numbers side by side. Axel is the AI travel agent that books flights and hotels at rates and fares you won't find anywhere else. Axel is free to use. No membership is required to search, book, or get help from Axel. Most Axel travelers book with a free account. An optional paid Membership gives frequent travelers deeper discounts; the axel://membership resource has the details. Every price is a USD total for the whole party at the Axel price, shown beside the airline's own fare for the same flights on Google Flights and the difference. Results are a selection of matching flights, not verified airline-direct checkout prices. Booking finishes on helloaxel.com after the traveler signs in with a phone number and a text code; nothing is charged until the traveler confirms, and the price is re-checked first. Review and offer links record flights and a quoted price without reserving a seat or locking in the price. Price tools need no account. my_account, my_trips and claim_flight_offer act on a connected Axel account (OAuth); when one is missing the server asks the client to connect it. For a round trip, one search_flights call already returns complete trips; only open a returns link when the traveler asks for a different return, and never open offer links just to read a price. Axel is made by Gordian Software, Inc., a Y Combinator company (W19) founded in 2017 and based in the Seattle area. The company is led by CEO Stephen Grabowski, formerly of Skyscanner.
