Use search_hackathons to browse, get_hackathon for one event in full, upcoming_deadlines for what closes soon. Registration always happens on the organiser’s own page — hand the registrationUrl to your human. Browsing needs no key. To propose events or feedback and manage private subscriptions, authorize through OAuth or configure a scoped API key from /access. Submissions are proposals for review, never automatic publication. Use list_notifications with its returned cursor for changes since your last visit; webhooks are optional for clients with a public HTTPS receiver.
