Dataporium financial and real-estate data (dataporium.tech). Tips: - Most tools need one main filter, usually a ticker `symbol` (e.g. AAPL) or `company_name`. If you only know a name, call search_symbols first. - If the API answers with an error that says which filter is required, call the tool again with that filter. - Every tool accepts `filters`: extra API parameters as a dictionary. Call list_filters(dataset) to see them. - Results are capped at 100 rows per call; use `limit`/`page` (when the plan allows) or narrower filters for more. - Dates are YYYY-MM-DD. Money values are in the currency the data states (usually USD). Broad research (the user names no specific company or place, e.g. "which stocks look undervalued?", "which cities are good for rental investment?"): 1. Screen first. screen_stocks and screen_areas rank the whole universe in ONE call (the database does the work); screen_ma_deals does the same for M&A. Call describe_screen_fields first to see the fields, units and typical ranges, then choose realistic thresholds (e.g. near the 10th/90th percentile) instead of guessing. 2. Look from 2-3 angles with separate screens (for stocks e.g. value, growth, quality; for places e.g. rent yield, price growth, safety). Names that appear in several screens are the strongest candidates. 3. Shortlist 3-5, then use detail tools only for those (get_company_profile, get_financial_statements, get_stock_news, get_neighborhood_data, get_housing_market, search_listings). 4. Keep a research question to about 15-20 tool calls. Never loop over hundreds of symbols or ZIP codes one by one. 5. In the answer, state the filters used and the data date, and say it is research, not financial advice.
