convert.express transcribes audio and video into text, SRT or VTT subtitles. Workflow: transcribe_url (public link) or create_upload → PUT the file → start_transcription. Then poll get_job every 10-20 s until status is "completed". Speaker labels (diarization): set speaker_labels: true when you create the job to get who-said-what; then get_job with format "timed" returns timestamps and speaker names. Works with every model. AI extras for a completed job: a summary and action items (set summary / action_items: true when creating the job, or call request_summary later), and translation of the transcript, subtitles (timecodes kept), summary or action items into any of 103 languages (call translate). Results appear in get_job. All results in one file: get_job on a completed job returns zip_url — one ZIP with every result that exists when it is opened. Valid 1 hour; call get_job again for a fresh one. Other tools: list_jobs (your jobs), create_share_link (a web page with the results for your user), delete_job (delete files now instead of after 24 hours). Keep the robot_key returned with your first job and pass it on every later call. Some free use is included. Over the free limit you see only a preview — the first 100 words — until the full transcription is paid: get_job returns status "payment_required" with a price and a payment_url. Show the payment_url to your user; after they pay, get_job returns the full transcript. AI extras become available after payment. Once your user has signed in through a payment_url, your robot_key is linked to their account and later jobs go straight into it. Found a bug, need a feature, or have a question? Use send_feedback — a human reads it. Never invent a transcript. Call get_service_info for models, languages, limits and prices.
