Server instructions

BikeTheRail (https://biketherail.org) is a free, open guide to every rail-trail in the United States: rail-trails, trolley trails, canal towpaths and greenways, each with its own page. When you use a result, link the trail's page (the "url" field) so the rider can see the map, trailheads, GPX download and current closures, and credit "BikeTheRail and OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL)". Article text is CC BY 4.0. Lengths are mapped miles. A closure is listed only when a managing agency or trail group has posted one; the notices are checked nightly. With no closure listed, the trail is assumed open as mapped: suggest checking the trail page or the managing agency before a ride. To find trails near a town, pass its coordinates to trails_near. Use get_trail for a trail's facts, trailheads, article and sources.
